This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how MyDaskalos (Company, or We/Our/Ours/Us) collects, uses, shares and stores personal data. We only collect the most relevant, proportionate to each purpose and strictly necessary personal information from you in the course of our business when you use the Services.

  • Identity Data that includes your first name, last name, username or similar identifier, date of birth and gender

  • Profile Data that includes information provided when setting up a tutor profile, including CV details, qualifications, subject expertise, location, professional experience, and any other optional information the tutor includes in their profile
  • Technical Data that includes internet protocol address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this website
  • Usage Data that includes information about how you use our Services, interactions with the website, requests made for tutor services, and general browsing behaviour

We do not collect any special categories of personal data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic biometric data).

Special Notice for Tutors and Users

Tutors: Tutors registering on MyDaskalos acknowledge and expressly consent that their name, surname, CV details, subject expertise, qualifications, professional experience, and location will be publicly displayed on the platform.

This allows users to express interest in their services and submit service requests. If a tutor does not wish for this information to be displayed, they should not register on the platform.

Users: When as a user you submit a request for a tutor’s services, you acknowledge and expressly consent that the following personal information will be shared with the tutor, your identity and contact details, and any additional details you provide in your request (e.g., schedule, learning needs)

The tutor will use this information to communicate with you regarding their services. The Company does not monitor further communication between users and tutors after the initial connection. If you do not wish to share this information, please do not submit a request for tutor services.

 

4. How we obtain your personal information

We use different methods to collect data from and about you including through:

  • Information you give us. This is information you consent to giving us about you by filling in forms on Services, by registering as a Tutor on our Website, or by corresponding with us (for example, by email). If you contact us, we will keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Information we collect about you via automated technologies or interaction. Each time you visit or use our Services (including our Website), we will automatically collect personal data including Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns, and Usage Data about your browsing behaviour.

We may share personal information the following categories of third parties as necessary to maintain and deliver our Services. Please note that any third-party service providers and suppliers enter into contractual agreements with the Company by which they observe confidentiality and data protection according to the applicable data protection laws.

  • Tutors –if you request tutor services, your contact details will be shared with them.
  • Service providers who provide IT, and system administration services.
  • Professional advisers including lawyers, business advisors, auditors, accountants, insurers and other professionals who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance, corporate, administration and accounting services.
  • Government or governmental agencies, regulatory authorities, courts and law enforcement agencies, registries. We may be required to disclose your information to comply with legal or regulatory requirements. We will use reasonable endeavours to notify you before we do this, unless we are legally restricted.

  • We do not sell, rent or otherwise make personal information commercially available to any third party, except with your prior permission.
